Dra. Dolores Carrer
Dr. Dolores C. Carrer obtained her Master in Chemistry from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Argentina in 1997 and her PhD in Chemistry from the same University in 2003. In 2005 she moved to Denmark for a postdoctoral stay at the lab of Biophotonics and Membrane Biophysics of MEMPHYS Institute, led at the time by Dr. Luis A. Bagatolli.
In 2007 with the support of an Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellowship, she moved to Germany to work in the Biophysics lab of Biotec-TU Dresden led by Dr. Petra Schwille.
In 2009 she returned to Argentina and started the lab of Biophysics and Nanotecnology at Instituto Ferreyra in Córdoba, Argentina. At present she is Adjunct Researcher of Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET). Her lab uses lipids to build small systems: modified solid surfaces, which probe membrane interactions on cells, and liposomes, which act as transepidermal drug delivery systems.
Dr. Luis A. Bagatolli
Luis A. Bagatolli obtained his M. Sc. (1991) and Ph. D. degree (1995) from the School of Chemical Sciences, University of Córdoba in Argentina. After a postdoctoral research at Laboratory for Fluorescence Dynamic, University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign, USA (1997-2000), and a brief stay in Argentina, he joined in 2002 MEMPHYS – Center for Biomembrane Physics at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) where he worked until February 2017. At present, he is a Researcher (Investigador Principal) of the Argentinian Research Council (CONICET) in a node located in the city of Córdoba (Instituto de Investigación Medica Mercedes y Martín Ferreyra). He is also an associated member at MEMPHYS- international and interdisciplinary research network.
